Private yoga tuition
I split my working week between London and my home in Kent.
Private tuition is an investment in deepening the learning process.
My main aim with private tuition is to listen to what you want from your time practising yoga, and then work with you to create an intelligent, practical and achievable practice, one that you understand and feel confident doing on your own.
A little goes a long way with self practice, we needn’t carve out 90 minutes 6 times a week, especially if you already feel that there aren’t enough hours in the day. Most of my students have a ‘short form’ practice of 5-25 minutes as well as a longer practice that they can do when time allows.
‘Traditional’ yoga postures can be taught combined with a more modern and informed approach to biomechanics and a better understanding of the nervous system. Breathwork and rest are included too. This gives you a well balanced and rounded experience, one that you can adapt yourself as and when you need.
Especially with private tuition I am able to combine in other exercises to balance the body better. Mindful Strength and Prehab type work can help to create a better balance of mobility and stability through the body. We also have time to reflect a little on how the mind responds to practice, and perhaps look at coaching techniques to bring more self awareness and active choices to our thought processes.
I’ve spent over a decade learning to adapt yoga to my mental and physical health, as well as that of my students.
I believe passionately in the effectiveness and benefits of teaching smaller groups. For that reason my fees are extremely reasonable, considering my level of experience – I want as many people as possible to feel that they can invest the time and money to bring yoga into their lives in a meaningful and independent way.
